The Grass surface is a non-racing surface type used in iRacing and in the real world. This surface type is known affectionately as the "Green Surface" due to its use in on race tracks for being green in color and also acts as a safety feature on the racetrack. This surface is known for having no grip availability while the all other surfaces have grip availability. The surface is completely unforgiving than the rest of racing surfaces but does not sacrifice tire grip and tire wear although this surface type is not used under any racing circumstances. The speed on a Grass surface is literally gone compared to other surface types due its purpose of being a safety feature.
Pros: Only a few pros are given but the tire grip and tire wear are not sacrificed making the Grass forgiving in that regard. It also is used for safety for drivers, race cars, fans, and more.
Cons: A few negatives can be stemmed but the Grass surface type is not for racing, has no forgiving traits in terms of speed and it being merciful, not used for any racing circumstances, and has no little grip availability at all.
These are the 5 categories for rating a surface type in iRacing:
