1. Veer

To gently steer in one direction.

2. Victory lane

Also 'Winner's Circle,' because of early motorsport's roots at horse racing tracks, the American term for the place where the winner of a race goes to celebrate victory after winning an event.
3. Victory lap
A lap, after the conclusion of the race, where the winning racer drives at reduced speed to celebrate his or her victory.
4. Vortex
In wet conditions, race cars can produce vortexes off their rear ends or wings. These vapor trails are similar to those produced by the engines of jet planes.
5. Vortex of Danger
A triangle inscribed by the turn-in point of the lead car, the apex, and the inside edge of the turn indicating the spot where it is too late or too dangerous to perform a passing maneuver cleanly and safely.
