In Auto Racing, the Meatball Flag generally means the driver has to return to the pits due to medium or heavy damage on their car. NASCAR and IndyCar do not use this flag while the FIA-sanctioned championships do. The flag is called the Meatball flag due to the orange circle in the middle of the flag resembling a meatball.
In iRacing, this flag is used in all of the racing series for returning to the pits for repairs.
FIA-sanctioned championships: Return to pits for repairs.
iRacing: Return to pits for repairs. Failing to return to the pits for too many laps will result in a Disqualification.
